The Exeter Wagon Works specialises in the production of patterns for wagon bodies.
The bodies are cast in polyurethane resin, using moulds made from the Wagon Works pattern by a high quality professional caster. Wagon bodies are cast in batches of up to 50, this being the maximum capacity of a single mould. Some batches may be limited editions, while others may be repeated.
Each pattern is hand crafted. The design work is supported by careful research with reference to contemporary drawings, photographs and preserved vehicles where possible. Each wagon is provided with supporting information on its history, how to finish the model and livery details, as well as variations and modifications where appropriate.
Designs can also be made to meet individual customer’s needs. Please look at the other pages on this website which carry more detailed information on what is available, what is planned and what The Exeter Wagon Works can offer to the individual wagon modeller.
Your name may be added to the Exeter Wagon Works e-mail list, so you can be notified when new items are being considered for production. The response to these e-mails will also allow the interest in a particular model and the batch size and price to be assessed. It is likely that the first edition of each vehicle will be in S Scale with those in 7mm and 4mm following if there is sufficient interest.
If you wish your name to be added to the Exeter Wagon Works list or you have any questions, please e-mail me via the Contact page.
